basically it's a command, example !auc "item" "amount" "price" "minimum increase" "time" that will start an ingame auction. The auction will last 60-120 sec. When somone starts a acution everyone will get a message in the chat that will say the item being auctiond/the price and the minimum increase.. You will get a new message every time somone outbidded the previous player.
If you win a acution without space in your inventory you will the previous player will win the auction instead.
To prevent unwanted spam or if you are not intrested in buying anything, you will be able to turn of the chat notices with a custom command.
No idea. There is currently no economy in the server. People just give away/throw away items they dont need to those who need it. Im not complaining about this. I feel good as it build a friendly community.
IMO, this feature is good only if we have an active economy going on. However, as what Kaikai has said, everyone has been giving away things instead of selling them. I entirely agree that this builds a friendly community, and I am very thankful for these players. Furthermore, at this point of time, we lack the players to form an economy.
The Auction feature is also available in several servers and honestly, it does not seem to have such a good response from the players. It was a short lived feature which brought up hype for a bit... yet it was soon ignored overtime. I'm not implying that we will end up like these servers, but the chances are high as we are still new whereas the other servers have been around for a while. This isn't a very long term feature, which is what this server is trying to aim for. Additionally, we are trying not to stray too far from the semi-GMS path despite our features and all. Personally, I encourage the old school method of setting up shops in FM and negotiating with players as it brings the community together. ^_^
tl;dr I don't think this is necessary for now.. Maybe in the future when we start to attract players and a decent economy starts to form. But at this point of time, I think we have better things to focus on such as the quest bugs etc.
